CONSERVATION  &  WOODLAND MAINTENANCE

 

All adults are welcome to come along and lend a hand
For tasks please wear stout footwear, and suitable old clothing
All training, tools and safety equipment are provided
No experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm
Optional to bring packed lunch, you may wish to have this at the end of the work

Meet at the Forest Classroom at 10.30 am for all Tasks
Most tasks will finish by 1.30 pm

2008   PROGRAMME

Conservation and general Woodland Maintenance tasks will be carried out at least once a month.  These will take place on the third Sunday of the month, plus some additional days

Sunday  20th  July

Willow Weaving - maintenance of existing structures
Hog Weed - removal of this invasive species from meadow area
Education Pond - clearing some excessive weeds

Sunday  17th  August

AUGUST  TASK  CANCELLED

Sunday  21st  September

Carr House Car Park - Tidy up and remove weeds
Sculptures - Sand down & apply fresh coat of preservative

Sunday  19th  October
